Years ago, I noticed a strange irony in financial services: if the building industry behaved the way the financial industry behaves, you'd be expected to build your house before you could get any plans drawn. That seemed backward to me.
Aren't lives and economies at least as important as the buildings that house them? Can't we be at least as good at building them as we are at building buildings?
